Cenqua Open Source

Cenqua uses open source software, and Cenqua staff have contributed to open source projects for many years. So it was about time that we released some software. All code here is released under the Apache 2.0 license. We try to use as little handwaving as possible.

The first release is Shaj (described below). Coming soon is a C# port of the popular Elkhound parser generator that is used in Clover.NET and a curious Yahoo! Instant Messenger to IRC bridge.

Shaj

Shaj (Simple Host Authentication for Java) is a simple library that allows your Java app to verify users with the underlying operating system. Shaj also allows you to check group membership. Shaj is not a competitor for full featured authentication API's but rather a complimentary way to piggyback on system accounts on any platforms.

Shaj is used in FishEye and is in use extensively on Windows, MacOSX, Solaris and various flavours of Linux.

Free FishEye Hosting

We have teamed up with the great folks at Contegix to offer free FishEye hosting to anyone who needs it. If you have a project hosted somewhere it is impractical to run FishEye (like SourceForge) email us at fisheye-hosting@cenqua.com and we will hook you up. Alternatively you can get licenses to use FishEye, Clover, and Clover.NET on your open source project for free. Apply for an open source license now (registration required).
